Tesla T-Smart Guide

If your heat pump isn’t providing hot water, you can temporarily switch on the immersion heater using your T-Smart controller.

⚠️ Please note:

• The immersion is less efficient than your heat pump and will increase running costs.
• Use this only as a temporary backup until your system is repaired.

Step-by-Step – Switching On via T-Smart

1. Locate your T-Smart controller (see photo below).
2. Press the ON button once.
3. Press the “+” button repeatedly until the large number on the screen shows 50.

The display should now show:

• 🖐 Hand symbol → system is in manual mode.
• ⚡ Lightning bolt symbol → immersion heater is active.

✅ This means the immersion is now running and will heat your hot water.

To Switch Off Again

1. Press the OFF button.
2. The 🖐 and ⚡ symbols should disappear.
3. The immersion will stop heating.

✅ Summary

• ON button → + until 50 → immersion active
• Look for the 🖐 and ⚡ symbols on the display
• Use only as a temporary backup until your heat pump is working again
