Emergency hot water
🚨 Emergency Hot Water – Using the Immersion Heater
In the unlikely event your heat pump fails, you can still get hot water by switching on the immersion heater.
⚠️ Please note:
- The immersion is a backup only. It is less efficient than your heat pump and will increase running costs.
- Use this temporarily until your heat pump is fixed.
🔎 Which system do you have?
Please select the option below that matches your installation (the below will be located by your hot water cylinder)
1️⃣ Time Clock Control
➡️ Follow the Time Clock Guide
2️⃣ T-Smart Controller (located at the bottom of your hot water cylinder)
3️⃣ None of the Above – Use Main Controller
If you don’t have a time clock or T-Smart, you can activate hot water directly through the main heat pump controller.
✅ Summary
- If your system fails, you can still get hot water via the immersion heater.
- Choose the correct guide above based on your system.
- This is a temporary solution until an engineer can attend
