⏱️ Emergency Hot Water – Time Clock Control
If your heat pump isn’t providing hot water, you can use the immersion heater as a backup via the time clock controller.
⚠️ Please note:
- The immersion is less efficient than your heat pump and will increase running costs.
- Only use this as a temporary backup until your system is repaired.
Step-by-Step – Switching On via Time Clock
-
Locate your time clock controller (it should look like the one in the photo below).
- Make sure the main switch for the immersion is ON.
- Press the “+” button once on the time clock.
- The word “ON” should now appear at the bottom of the display.

✅ This means the immersion is switched on permanently and will heat your water.
To Switch Off Again
- Press the “-” button once until the screen shows “OFF”.
- The immersion will stop heating.
✅ Summary
- Press “+” once → ON → hot water from immersion.
- Ensure the main immersion switch is ON.
- Use only until your heat pump is working again.
