Reconnecting your Netatmo Thermostat after changing Wi-Fi

If you’ve installed a new router or changed your Wi-Fi password, you’ll need to reconnect your Netatmo Relay.

Manual reconnection


Step 1: Open the correct app

  • Netatmo Energy app → For Smart Thermostat and Starter Pack Relays only.
  • Home + Control app → For all Relays, including the Smart Modulating Thermostat.

Step 2: Start Wi-Fi configuration

  • Netatmo Energy app
    1. If you see “Relay not reachable”, tap Configure your Wi-Fi.
    2. Or go to: Settings > Manage my home > [Relay name] > Configure your Wi-Fi.

    3. Tap the red banner “[Relay name] cannot be reached”.
    4. Tap Wi-Fi configuration.
    5. Or go to: Settings > Manage my home > [Relay room] > [Relay name] > Configure network.

Step 3: Complete the setup

Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Relay to the new Wi-Fi network.

Troubleshooting

  • If the setup fails:
    • Restart your smartphone.
    • Make sure Bluetooth and GPS/location are turned on before starting the configuration.
