How to Reconnect a SolarEdge Inverter (With Screen) to Wi-Fi


Step 1 – Using the Inverter Buttons

  • The buttons are light-sensitive – don’t press them, just hold your finger briefly in front.
  • You’ll hear a beep as confirmation.
  • Use Up/Down to scroll and OK to select.

Step 2 – Enter Setup Mode

  1. Press the OK key once to light the screen.

    Turn the red toggle switch (bottom left of inverter) to OFF.

    • The display should confirm “OFF”.
  2. Press and hold the OK button for 5 seconds (not 10).
  3. On screen, enter the password using this sequence:
Up, Down, OK, Up, Down, OK, Up, Down

Step 3 – Configure Wi-Fi

  1. Scroll to Communication → press OK.
  2. Scroll to WiFi Conf → press OK.

  3. Select Scan Networks.

    Choose your home Wi-Fi network (SSID).

    Enter your Wi-Fi password:

    • Use Up/Down to select each character,
    • Press OK to confirm each character.
  4. When finished, hold OK for 2 seconds to complete entry.

Step 4 – Confirm Connection

  • The inverter will attempt to connect.
  • Press ESC three times to return to the main screen.
  • Within 3–5 minutes, look for S_OK on the display. This means the inverter is successfully connected to the SolarEdge server.

Step 5 – Troubleshooting

  • Not connecting? Restart your broadband router.
  • Still not connecting after 10 minutes? Contact SolarEdge Support with your router model + inverter serial number.
  • Wi-Fi requirements: Inverter requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (not 5 GHz).
