📶 Growatt Wi-Fi Reconnection Guide

If your Growatt inverter shows as offline in the ShinePhone app, it usually means the Wi-Fi needs reconnecting (common after changing broadband or router).

Follow the steps below to get your system back online.


  1. Open ShinePhone app on your phone.
  2. Tap My Device List `
  3. Tap Datalogger (Shine WiFi-X)
  4. Tap  Configure.
  5. Choose Standard Mode.
  6. Enter your home Wi-Fi SSID and password (must be 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi).
  7. Wait for confirmation → the inverter will attempt to connect.
  8. Return to the home screen and confirm the device shows Online.


Option 2 – 📲 Hotspot Mode (Use if Standard Mode fails)

Hotspot Mode uses a direct connection to the inverter to push your Wi-Fi details.

  1. On the inverter, press the Wi-Fi dongle button until the red light flashes — this enables hotspot mode.

    On your phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the Growatt hotspot (named AP_xxxx   ).

    • Default password: 12345678  
  2. Open the ShinePhone appMy device listtap on dataloggeredit.
  3. Choose Hotspot Mode.
  4. Select your home Wi-Fi SSID, enter your password, then confirm.
  5. The inverter will connect to your router.
  6. Return to the ShinePhone home screen → confirm status shows Online.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • Growatt inverters only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (not 5 GHz).
  • If you’ve changed broadband, try renaming your new Wi-Fi SSID and password to match the old router so all devices reconnect automatically.

✅ Quick Troubleshooting

  • No Wi-Fi networks found? Move closer to your router or use a Wi-Fi extender.
  • Hotspot not visible? Restart the inverter and press the dongle button again.
  • Still offline? Restart your router and inverter, then retry setup.
