📶 Growatt Wi-Fi Reconnection Guide
If your Growatt inverter shows as offline in the ShinePhone app, it usually means the Wi-Fi needs reconnecting (common after changing broadband or router).
Follow the steps below to get your system back online.
Option 1 – 🔗 Standard Mode (Recommended if Wi-Fi signal is strong)
- Open ShinePhone app on your phone.
- Tap My Device List `
- Tap Datalogger (Shine WiFi-X)
- Tap Configure.
- Choose Standard Mode.
- Enter your home Wi-Fi SSID and password (must be 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi).
- Wait for confirmation → the inverter will attempt to connect.
- Return to the home screen and confirm the device shows Online.
Option 2 – 📲 Hotspot Mode (Use if Standard Mode fails)
Hotspot Mode uses a direct connection to the inverter to push your Wi-Fi details.

On the inverter, press the Wi-Fi dongle button until the red light flashes — this enables hotspot mode.
On your phone, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the Growatt hotspot (named
AP_xxxx).- Default password:

- Open the ShinePhone app → My device list → tap on datalogger → edit.
- Choose Hotspot Mode.
- Select your home Wi-Fi SSID, enter your password, then confirm.
- The inverter will connect to your router.
- Return to the ShinePhone home screen → confirm status shows Online.
⚠️ Important Notes
- Growatt inverters only support 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (not 5 GHz).
- If you’ve changed broadband, try renaming your new Wi-Fi SSID and password to match the old router so all devices reconnect automatically.

- No Wi-Fi networks found? Move closer to your router or use a Wi-Fi extender.
- Hotspot not visible? Restart the inverter and press the dongle button again.
- Still offline? Restart your router and inverter, then retry setup.
