Givenergy Wifi Settings (metal body)


Method 1: Download the Givinstaller app & press Wifi configuration in the bottom right hand corner:

Some helpful tips:

  • The unlocked wifi network may take time to appear after resetting the dongle
  • It is easier to type in the wifi name vs scanning the barcode
  • you may be asked to continuously hit the join wifi button when your phone prompts you to.
  • if your wifi signal is weak wifi extenders may help: Link here


Step 1 – Reset the Built-in Wi-Fi Module

  1. Remove the bottom cover of the inverter to access the panel.
  2. Locate the reset button just below the dip-switches.
  3. Press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds until the LEDs start to flash.
  4. Release the button. The inverter’s Wi-Fi hotspot will now be broadcast.

Step 2 – Connect to the Inverter’s Hotspot

  1. On your phone or laptop, go to Wi-Fi settings.

    Find a network starting with WH / WG / WJ / WK (the prefix depends on your inverter model).

    Connect to this network.

    • Default password: 12345678 (unless changed).

Step 3 – Open the Setup Page

  1. Open a web browser (Chrome recommended).
  2. In the address bar, type:
10.10.100.254
  1. Log in:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin

Step 4 – Configure Wi-Fi Settings

  1. Go to Mode Selection → select STA mode → click Apply.
  2. Go to STA Interface Setting → click Search.
  3. Select your home Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz).
  4. Enter your Wi-Fi password carefully → click Apply.

Step 5 – Restart the Module

  1. Go to Device Management → select Restart.
  2. Wait up to 10 minutes while the module reconnects.
  3. The LED will turn solid green when the connection is successful.

Step 6 – Confirm in the GivEnergy App

  • Open the GivEnergy app or web portal.
  • Your system should show as Online within a few minutes.

Troubleshooting

  • Hotspot not showing? Press and hold the reset button again for 15 seconds.
  • Not connecting? Ensure your router is broadcasting 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (GivEnergy does not support 5 GHz).
  • Weak signal? Use a Wi-Fi extender near the inverter.
  • Still offline? Power cycle the inverter and retry.
