🔋 SolarEdge Battery Programming Guide
If you need to change how your SolarEdge system manages battery charging or discharging, you can do this using the Battery Mode Control settings in the SolarEdge SetApp.
📱 Step-by-Step Overview

Open SetApp on your mobile device and connect to your inverter.
Navigate to Commissioning → Power Control → Battery Mode.
Choose the operating mode that best suits your setup:
- Self-Consumption – maximises use of your own solar energy.
- Time of Use (TOU) – allows you to set charging and discharging based on tariff periods.
- Backup Only – keeps the battery charged for use during power cuts. (please note, additional hardware is needed for backup)
- Adjust the parameters according to your energy goals.
- Tap Apply to save your settings.
