Givenergy Wifi Settings (Inverters with white dongle below)



Method 1: Download the Givinstaller app & press Wifi configuration in the bottom right hand corner:

Some helpful tips:

  • The unlocked wifi network may take time to appear after resetting the dongle
  • It is easier to type in the wifi name vs scanning the barcode
  • you may be asked to continuously hit the join wifi button when your phone prompts you to.
  • if your wifi signal is weak wifi extenders may help: Link here

If the above does not work

1. Before You Begin

  • Make sure the GivEnergy inverter is powered on.
  • Have your home WiFi network name (SSID) and password ready.
  • Ensure a strong WiFi signal at the inverter—use an extender if needed.

2. Put the Dongle in Setup Mode

  1. Locate the WiFi dongle attached to the inverter.
  2. Press and hold the small reset/setup button until the LED starts flashing.
  3. A temporary hotspot—WO_XXXX—will be created.
  4. It will take around 5 minutes to appear as an unlocked network

3. Connect to the GivEnergy Hotspot

  1. On your device (phone, tablet, or laptop), open WiFi settings.
  2. Look for the network named WO_XXXX and connect—no password needed.

5. Open the Dongle Setup Page

  1. Open a web browser.

    Enter 10.10.100.254 into the address bar.

    Log in with default credentials:

    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin

6. Configure Your Home WiFi

  1. Go to Wireless Settings → STA Interface setting .
  2. Select your home WiFi SSID from the list.
  3. Carefully enter your WiFi password (it's case-sensitive).
  4. Save the settings and reboot the dongle.

7. Confirm the Connection

  • The LED on the dongle should switch to a solid color (varies by model).
  • In the GivEnergy app or web portal, your system should appear Online within a few minutes.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Hotspot not visible? Reset the dongle and retry.
  • Connection fails? Double-check your WiFi password (case-sensitive).
  • Poor WiFi coverage? Use an extender or move the router nearer.
  • Still offline? Power-cycle both the inverter and dongle.
